The meter is designed to measure grounding resistance of grounding devices with the help of auxiliary electrodes and determine soil resistivity.
The meter has a wireless Bluetooth interface for downloading measurement results to a personal computer (PC).
The meter is used in power grid enterprises, as well as in organizations and enterprises that monitor the conditions for ensuring safety requirements during the operation of electrical installations.
The meter is manufactured in accordance with the requirements of the Technical Regulation of legally regulated measuring equipment (hereinafter referred to as the Technical Regulation), approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated 13.01.2016 No. 94, DSTU EN 61557-5:2014 Electrical safety of low-voltage distribution systems with a voltage of up to 1000 V alternating current and 1500 V DC. Equipment for testing, measuring or monitoring security measures. Part 5. Resistance to earth, DSTU EN 61326-1:2016 Electrical equipment for measurement, control and laboratory applications. Technical characteristics
The resistance measurement range is from 10 mΩ to 20 kΩ.
Allowable values of electrode resistance for measuring resistances (Rvm) are given in the table, where Rр1, Rр2 – resistance of potential electrodes, Rt1, Rt2 – resistance of current electrodes.

The no-load voltage on the current clamps of the meter T1, T2 is no more than 36 V of the effective value with a frequency of (128 ± 8) Hz. The current in the measuring resistance circuit is no more than 350 mA.
The meter belongs to measuring equipment of accuracy class 2.5 according to DSTU OIML R 34:2014 Accuracy classes of measuring equipment.The limits of the permissible relative basic measurement error are ± 2.5% of the measuring resistance.
The display of measurement results is four-digit with a floating point on a liquid crystal indicator with backlight (hereinafter – the indicator).
The meter is powered by eight Ni-MH batteries of AA size with a nominal voltage of 1.2 V and a capacity of at least 2 A×h. Instead of batteries, other AA-sized power cells can be used, including non-rechargeable ones.
The current consumption of the meter from batteries is no more than 1.0 A.
The meter performs:
- automatic selection of the resistance measurement unit Ω and its multiple values: m Ω , k Ω;
- charge the batteries from the network adapter and the car’s on-board network through the cigarette lighter socket;
- indication of the process and degree of battery charge;
- automatic shutdown of the meter after 90 s – 120 s after the end of work;
- memory storage of the results of 50 previous measurements;
- automatic shutdown of the meter when the supply voltage drops below 8.8 V;
- indication of the presence of alternating disturbance voltage with a frequency of 50 Hz on potential clamps of more than 7 V;
- indication of exceeding the allowable resistance of the electrodes.
Operating mode – measurement up to 60 s, the break time before the next measurement is not limited.
The time to establish the working mode is no more than 5 s.
The degree of protection of the meter body is IP42 according to DSTU EN 60529:2014 Degrees of protection provided by casings (IR Code).
Working conditions of application:
- ambient air temperature from minus 10 ºС to plus 55 ºС;
- relative air humidity up to 90% at a temperature of 30 ºС.
The meter is intended for operation in humid conditions without moisture condensation in an open place.
The meter is recommended to be used together with the P4126M2 accessory kit, which is supplied by separate order.
The overall dimensions of the meter are no more than 230 mm x 140 mm x 59 mm.
The weight of the meter is no more than 1 kg.
