The private joint-stock company “Umansky Zavod “Megommeter” is located in the picturesque city of Uman with a population of about 100,000 people. The city, known for its park “Sophiivka” – one of the best in Europe, is located in the central part of Ukraine, at the intersection of important economic highways Kyiv – Odesa and Lviv – Vinnytsia – Cherkasy.

  The “Megohmmeter” plant was founded on March 5, 1957 in accordance with the order of the Minister of Electrotechnical Industry No. 99, which was stipulated by the resolution of the Uman City Council dated September 18, 1956, approved by the decision of the executive committee of the Cherkasy Regional Council dated November 30, 1956.

  The first products produced by the enterprise were UTT-5 and UTT-6M current transformers (since 1957). In 1958, the M1101 megometer assembly line began operating at the enterprise.

  Since 1959, the plant has been expanding. In 1959 – 1963, an assembly building was built, in 1966 – 1969 – a building of procurement shops, in 1971 – 1974 – an administrative and laboratory building, in 1973 – a rail base.

  The “Megommeter” plant was a permanent participant of VDNG, and today PJSC “Umansky “Megommeter” plant takes part in international exhibitions held both in Ukraine and abroad.

  The company’s electrical measuring devices were awarded one gold, one silver and three bronze medals.

  For more than 59 years, the company has occupied a prominent place in the market of electrical measuring devices.

  The enterprise has implemented a DSTU ISO 9001:2015 quality management system.

  Electric measuring devices, measuring current transformers manufactured by the plant, of a high class of accuracy, are in great demand not only in our country, but also abroad. By 1991, products with the company’s trademark were supplied to more than 40 countries.

 Today, the share of exports is more than 50% of sales. The main buyers of the plant’s products during export supply are the countries of the near abroad and the Baltic states.

During the sale and shipment of products, various types of transport are used: railway, cargo baggage, air baggage, TIR road transport, courier mail, “Nova Poshta”, “Autolux”, “Night Express”, self-delivery.

The technical department is engaged in the development of new products for the enterprise. We are constantly working on putting new types of products into production. The product goes through all the stages, starting from the development, design and manufacture of the equipment and to the final assembly. The enterprise has its own tool shop for equipping the main production, a shop for processing plastics, metalworking and stamping, electroplating and painting, as well as assembly production.

PrJSC Umansky Megommeter Plant has a testing laboratory that conducts tests on cold, heat, moisture, vibration resistance, transport shaking, splash protection, tests on the influence of magnetic fields.
