Ammeters are designed to measure current in sinusoidal alternating current networks with a frequency from 45 Hz to 65 Hz. The devices are stationary analog indicators of the direct action of the electromagnetic system with the attachment of the moving part on the cores.
The devices are manufactured in accordance with the requirements of DSTU EN 60051-2:2018. Devices of direct action electromeasuring analog, indicating and auxiliary parts to them. Part 2. Special requirements for ammeters and voltmeters.In terms of safety requirements, the devices meet the requirements of DSTU EN 61010-1:2014 Requirements for the safety of control and measuring and laboratory electrical equipment. Part 1. General requirements.

Note: By type of activity, the device does not belong to the scope of legally regulated metrology. According to the Law of Ukraine On Metrology and Metrological Activity and in connection with the entry into force of the Law of Ukraine On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine on the Implementation of European Union Legislation Acts in the Field of Technical Regulation from 03.07.2019 (Art. 1 Clause 15, Article 16, Clause 1 of the Law of Ukraine On Metrology and Metrological Activities initial verification is not provided for these types of FTAs.

The accuracy class of devices is 1.5 or 2.5 according to DSTU OIML R 34:2014 Accuracy classes of measuring equipment.
The limits of the permissible reduced basic error of devices are ±1.5% for devices of accuracy class 1.5 and ±2.5% for devices of accuracy class 2.5 of the final value of the measurement range.
Overloading ammeters are manufactured with an overload factor of 2. The limits of the permissible basic error of overloading ammeters in the overloading part of the scale are equal to ±10% of the final value of the measurement range.
The main and additional error of devices connected through measuring transformers are normalized without taking into account the corresponding errors of measuring transformers.

Note 1: Depending on the order, ammeters with a full range of less than 1 A can be manufactured as milliammeters, and ammeters with a full range of more than 1000 A can be manufactured as kiloammeters.
Note 2: The measuring current transformer shall be rated for secondary winding current of 1 A or 5 A.

The initial value of the measuring range does not exceed 20% of the final value of the measuring range
Own consumption of devices:
– ammeters of direct connection no more than 2.5 V·А;
– ammeters connected through a current transformer, (0.6±0.2) V·A;
Degree of protection IP40 according to DSTU EN 60529:2014 Degrees of protection provided by enclosures (IR Code).
