Megaohmmeters are designed to measure the insulation resistance of electrical circuits that are not under voltage and to measure the effective value of alternating or constant voltage on the measured object. Megohmmeters provide the capacity discharge of the object after the measurement.

At the rated current, the voltages will be, respectively, not less than: 300 V, 700 V, 1500 V.

The nominal current for the megaohmmeter of modifications ЭС0210/1, ЭС0210/1-Г is not less than 1 mA, for the megohmmeter of modifications ЭС0210/2, ЭС0210/2-Г, ЭС0210/3, ЭС0210/3-Г not less than 0.6 mA.

Accuracy class of megohmmeters, expressed in the form of cumulative error according to DSTU OIML R 34:2014, 2.5.

Limits of permissible values ​​of basic errors:

  • ± 2.5% of the length of the scale when measuring resistances;
  • ± 2.5% of the upper value of the voltage measurement range;
  • ± 15% of the measured resistance (relative error).

Limit values ​​of insulation resistance measurement errors, expressed in the form of          reduced to the length of the scale and in the form of relative equivalents.

Limits of permissible values ​​of relative error when measuring resistances            are normalized for the working part of the scale marked with dots.

For megohmmeters of modification ЭС0210/3, ЭС0210/3-Г when measuring resistances in the measuring range (500 – 100000) MΩ (scale IIx10), the measurement error is normalized only at a voltage of 2500 V.

The time of establishing impressions is no more than 15 s. The charge time of the capacity of the object, the value of which is no more than 0.5 µF, does not exceed 15 s. The discharge time of the capacity of a similar object to a safe voltage (no more than 42 V), which was charged to a voltage of 2500 V, does not exceed 4 s.

Working conditions of application:

– ambient air temperature from minus 30 ºС to plus 50 ºС;

– relative air humidity up to 90% at a temperature of 30 ºС.

The operating mode is intermittent. Measurement – ​​1 min, pause – 2 min.

Megaohmmeters of the ЭС0210/х type are powered from an alternating current network with a voltage of (220 V) and a frequency of (50 ± 0.5) Hz, (60 ± 0.5) Hz.

Megaohmmeters of type ЭС0210/х-Г are powered by an electromechanical generator, which is structurally placed in the housing of megaohmmeters. The speed of rotation of the handle of the electromechanical generator (120 – 144) r/min.
