The meter is designed to measure touch voltage and short-circuit current in the phase-zero circuit in 380/220 V alternating current networks, with a frequency of 50 Hz and 60 Hz with a dead-grounded neutral.
The meter consists of two blocks: a short-circuit block and a measuring block.
The operation of the ЭК0200 meter is based on the measurement of the real short-circuit current and contact voltage by the measuring unit during a short circuit, carried out by a short-circuit unit with a short-circuit time limit. A single-phase short circuit is performed using a thyristor.
To exclude the error from transient processes and magnetization of the conductors, measurements are carried out in two cycles with alternating direction of the short-circuit current.
During the first cycle, the thyristor is turned on at the maximum of the negative half-cycle of the mains voltage (270 electric degrees) of the phase shift between the current and the voltage in the “phase-zero” circuit. In the second stroke, the thyristor is turned on taking into account the phase determined in the first stroke and in the opposite polarity to eliminate the transient process and magnetization of steel pipes, if the conductors are located in the pipes.
Technical characteristics
Measurement ranges of DC current – 0-0.2 kA; 0-1 kA; 0-2 kA. The error of measuring the DC current ±10%.
Touch voltage measurement ranges 0–0.5 V, 0–2.5 V, 0–5 V, 0–10 V, 0–25 V, 0–100 V, 0–250 V. Touch voltage measurement error ±4% .
The time for setting up the working mode is no more than 5 min.
The time of setting readings is no more than 4 s.
Power supply of the ЭК0200 meter:
– network short-circuit block (220 +22/-33) V, frequency 50 Hz, 60 Hz;
– measuring unit – 10 elements 316 or their analogues from 12 V to 15 V.
The power consumed by the short circuit unit is no more than 20 V·A.
The current consumed by the measuring unit is 50 mA.
Operating conditions:
– ambient air temperature from minus 10 °C to plus 40 °C;
– relative air humidity up to 90% at a temperature of plus 30 ° C.
Overall dimensions of the meter with a set of ZIP: 345 mm x 265 mm x 135 mm.
The weight of the meter with the ZIP kit is 10 kg.
